Client overview
Flimp Communications provides videos, decision-support tools, employee texting, and interactive digital communication solutions to employers, HR consultants, insurance carriers, and healthcare providers. With offices in Boston (MA), Denver (CO), Vero Beach (FL), and Burlington (VT), they work with more than 950 corporate clients, including many Fortune 500 companies.
Their award-winning content communications platform lets users create, distribute, and track interactive video and branded multimedia content without needing programming skills or IT support. It supports corporate, internal, employee, and marketing communications.
The challenge
The client had no lead-scoring framework in place, which meant sales and marketing had no consistent way to tell which leads were worth pursuing. As a result:
Sales reps spent too much time on leads that were not yet ready to buy.
High-potential prospects were not being prioritised quickly enough.
Marketing had limited visibility into which campaigns attracted leads with genuine purchase intent.
They needed a way to identify high-intent leads early, focus sales effort where it would have the most impact, and give marketing the insight to fine-tune their campaigns.

The solution
We designed and implemented a custom lead-scoring framework from scratch, built around the client’s business requirements and buying signals. This allowed their teams to quickly identify and prioritise the opportunities most likely to convert.
Our approach followed three key steps:
Tiered scoring. Rather than scoring every demographic, firmographic, and intent marker individually, we grouped them into tiers and segments. This kept the model simple to manage and easy for the sales team to act on.
Continuous refinement. As the data showed that certain markers did not lead to conversions, we removed them from the framework. This kept the scoring accurate and free of noise.
Revenue and closed-lost reporting. We built a reporting dashboard showing which marketing-generated opportunities went on to generate revenue, alongside closed-lost reasons. This gave the client an ongoing feedback loop to keep their lead scoring clean and relevant.
The impact
40% increase in conversion rates
30% reduction in sales cycle duration
Higher conversion from marketing-generated opportunities to closed-won deals
Better alignment between sales and marketing, with a shared definition of a qualified lead
Beyond these results, the client now spends less to acquire each customer. With sales effort focused on the right prospects, customer acquisition costs have dropped relative to customer lifetime value, contributing directly to stronger profitability.
“Before working with RevOps Automated, our sales team had no reliable way of knowing which leads were worth their time. They built a lead-scoring framework from the ground up that fits how we actually sell, and kept it lean by cutting out the signals that weren’t driving conversions. Our reps now focus on the prospects most likely to buy, deals are closing faster, and the reporting finally shows us which marketing efforts lead to revenue. It has brought our sales and marketing teams onto the same page in a way we hadn’t managed before.”
